I didn't even have to think about this one. Ain't No Place for a Hero is, without a doubt, my favorite superhero story. The reader character is believable, unique, and has flaws. The romance has a slow and natural buildup that's so well-written. I have nothing but praise for this story.

I've been following this story for a while and though the beginning is a bit slow (for intimacy!), every chapter leaves me breathless. Mai Blade has a wonderful way of making every word and description sound like prose, and the relationships feel natural and organic. This story is one of my favorites-- though with Mai Blade's writing skill and knack for creative plotlines, almost all of their works are among my favorites...
