Description: On February 20th, cities around the world celebrate the final day of Carnival -- most commonly known as: Mardi Gras. Carnival itself is a two-week holiday that takes place before Ash Wednesday / Lent.
The Goal: The goal is to write a story of at least 1000 words about Mardi Gras, Carnival, or a city-wide party.
The story can take place wherever you wish, including in New Orleans, LA. It can be serious or silly, citrusy or clean, religious or just fun, it's all up to you. You can also simply write about a wild, city wide party if your fandom doesn't take place somewhere where Mardi Gras would be held.

Bonus:
Bonus points if you can include any of the following:
- An ornate mask
- A Ball (as in formal dance)
- Throws (items thrown from floats, such as bead necklaces)

Description: I haven't seen that many Reader-Insert/Insert You fics with Vincent in them. I think, that on this site, I have only seen...well a handful. Thus, I challenge you all to make a nice one-shot or chaptered fic with the Vincent/Reader pairing.
The Rules: Well...I would like the fic to be at least 2500 words (I think that's fairly manageable), and Vincent has to be semi-IC. It doesn't have to take place in the FFVII setting, it can be an AU. In fact, I encourage an AU as AU's would be easier to write, in my opinion.
The Reward: I'm not sure yet, but if anyone enters my challenge I will most likely write them a one-shot with the pairing of their choice...that is...if I have enough time and the inspiration to do so.

Description: Write any length fan fiction using whatever fandom you want to using/being inspired by/related to or meantioning the phrase "I am, all at once, in love with, afraid of and often unable to make fire."
Idealy maybe you could use a character with fire attributes (Like how Jacob from Twilight is warm like fire) or write something related to a fire card (like in CCS there is The Firey card and in YGO there are fire cards) and what they represent. Even characters that are described as having 'firey' personalities can be used as long as you make some sort of reflection about why or how they got to be that way even.
Just makes sure to keep the phrase in mind and what it means to you when you read it. And of course have fun.
Any pairings/warning are accepted! The only limit is your imagination and fire!

Description: Ok so I've been hearing so much about Twilight and their sparkly vampires. Vampires do not sparkle in the sun they spontaneously combust. You can write any type of story as long as one of the characters (vampire or not) says "Vampires do not sparkle, they blow up", and yes you can change it to 'don't'.
I would prefer:
*no reader inserts
*one-shots
*not too long (I only get the internet at the office, and don't want to spend the whole time reading a story with 10,ooo words
*no mixing of the categories (you can have one of the Lost Boys talking about Dracula, but not Cartman talking to Jack Sparrow)
but if you really want to do any of those I will still read it =)

Description: A girlciel/sebastian story.
With many suitors set to capture ciel's hand in marriage, ciel become depressed because the one she likes is sebastian but she is not sure that sebastian feels the same way what with him flirting with other ladies and female servants occasionally but never with her. In fact, mostly he taunts her, mocking her most of the time but he still can't hid his concern for her occassionally in rare moment like ciel's life-threatening moment (kidnapping and stuff), ciel got molested by one of her suitors, etc. Of course, there is also the fact that sebastian's status as her butler would make it impossible for them to have acceptable relationship in society. Ciel herself felt sick with her suitors whom she believes only after her riches.
That the basic plot. Any other plot and the excitement and element of surprise for the story is up to the writers that would like to accept this challenge and actually write it. Please don't forget to write about the contract between them and your take about what happen in the future regarding the contract. The story doesn't necessarrily 100% romance, other genres like horror, tragedy, adventure and fantasy are very much welcomed. Let your muse out for this challenge!
Multiplies response is more than welcome! Multiplies and long chapters are very much encouraged. One-shot is acceptable if you could write a really long filled-with-goodness one-shot.

-You must pick a strong friendship from any of the KH games. A trio or a pair. But they have to be the main ones, don't mix any up. For example, like Sora, Riku and Kairi. They're a trio, and they've basically had a strong friendship, as you know, all that good stuff.

Description: Ok Rules first:
1: no copping off another author, no using the same ideas
2: no one can make this a slash
3: keep the characters and setting within reason
4: must be updated consistently
Now on to Requirements:
1: must involve 'Everyone's favorite sand ninja! GARRA!' and his brother and sister
2: must be long
3: must involve some of the main characters that reside in Kohona (the leaf village)
4: someone must fall in love somewhere in the story, weather they die, get dumped, or whatever is up to you.
Deadlines:
So long as this is done before school lets out you're ok.
I would prefer this to be out by the end of April, so you have plenty of time to work.

Description: I'd like to read some new Fruits Basket stories, and I'm sure somebody can write them! Here's what I'd like to read -- two of these are kind of short variations on some of the challenges I've issued on Live Journal, if they look a bit familiar:
1. Ayame is sick and Yuki has to take care of him. Will there be brotherly bonding, or will Yuki make Aya even sicker...or maybe the other way around...may be funny or serious.
2. Yuki and the canon character of your choice walks in on Ayame and Mine during a romantic moment. Does chaos ensue?
3. Mabudachi Trio friendship fic. Can be set in the present day, or during their high school years. No yaoi, please.
Two more requirements: No reader insert you, and if Akito is included, she is female.
