"Alternative Sugars" by Murder-chan

Description: Assuming you write one drabble/ficlet/oneshot or chapter per day, then in one month you would write 30 drabbles/ficlets/oneshots of chapters (that would be a nice long story.) Of course, most of us only really write two of the above for every three or four days.

(Although granted that really only lasts for a week or so before going leaving on a short break)
That comes out to about 15-20 per month, divided by half for about only half the month and you get. . .

7-10.

There are a lot of stories centering around putting the reader with Ichigo or Histugaya, and admittedly they are all rather original, although prone to having Ichigo's prudeness, or Hitsugaya's work ethic a major enemy for either the man or the woman involved (or the other man or woman, depending.)

Then there are some with Renji, some with Gin, and recently Byakuya as well.

Then one or so for Shuuhei, Hanatarou, Luppi, Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, Sousuke and Kenpachi.

So. . .

The challenge?

Write 7-10 stories about someone other than Ichigo or Hitsugaya, without writing an Ichigo or Hitsugaya story.


The plot can be absolutely anything. Don't write Renji because you think he belongs with Rukia? Write a Renji x Rukia. Don't write Ishida because you like to see him with Chad? Write some yaoi (it's always appreciated, although varieties nice). Get an idea for an Ichigo or Hitsugaya story that you must write? Play with it and see if you can adjust it to another character and would be fine with adjusting it to another character. Otherwise, write down the idea, save it for later and open a random book at random with your eyes close and jab somewhere in the page. Select a character and try to build any plot whatsoever around that word or image (in the case of dividers or picture pages.)

Some things to start you off, if you want:

Ikkaku and bamboo.

Matsumoto and a panda

Yumichika eating pixie sticks.

Ulqiorra on a sugar high.

Grimmjow turning into a cat every time he blushes.

Ishida sewing lollipops on his clothing.
