Description: Pretend your favorite Mortal Kombat character decided to "take you to work" for a day to give you a behind the scenes look at what his/her daily routine is like when he/she isn't saving Earthrealm or trying to destroy it. (Sub-Zero, the younger one, is my favorite character, but you may score Colorado brownie points with me if you write about a different character).
Write a one-shot short story in the 3rd person limited perspective, that person being YOU, that begins with this line:
"We had nothing to say to each other."
Because it IS Mortal Kombat, there needs to be at least one fight scene.
Beyond that, the sky is the limit. Please make it as creative and unique as possible, none of that boring "We had a bowl of cereal together, went to our rooms to change, went to work together, etc." You suddenly have your favorite MK character at your disposal, so what would YOU like to do with him/her?
I don't think I have much in the way of prizes, so the stories I like the best will get a shout out in my stories' author notes as I post them.
