Summary: Growing up under the Reich was not always easy, even for those considered to be the 'Aryan ideal'. The pressure to be perfect, the attention (some of it very unfriendly) in school, in the home, in public, is immense, and the dreams a man chases don't always turn out to be what he expects. The pressure in a time and place where doctors were asked constantly to break their oath for the sake of their government can be enough to break a man, and his family.
